Alex C. Engler is a Fellow at The Brookings Institution, where he studies the implications of artificial intelligence and emerging data technologies on society and governance. Engler recently returned from Berlin and Brussels, where he worked on the EU AI policy as a Fulbright-Schuman Innovation Scholar. Engler also an Associate Fellow at the Center for European Policy Studies and teaches data science for policy analysis at Georgetown University. Before Brookings, Engler was faculty at the University of Chicago, where he ran the M.S. in Computational Analysis and Public Policy.
