Visar Berisha is an Associate Professor at Arizona State University, with a joint appointment in the College of Engineering and the College of Health Solutions. His main research interests include statistical signal processing, machine learning, and information theory with applications to healthcare. His research is primarily funded by the National Institutes of Health, the Department of Defense, and the National Science Foundation. This work has led to many academic publications, several patents, and a VC-backed company. Berisha’s work has been featured in the New York Times, on ESPN, National Public Radio, the Wall Street Journal, and a number of other international media outlets.
